ELKHART - Services for Gladys Longacre, 91, of 1602 Stevens Ave., who died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in her home, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Elkhart Chapel of Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Longacre was a retired nurse's aide from the obstetrics floor of Elkhart General Hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1904, in Wolcottville. On Sept. 1, 1926, in Elkhart, she married Harold G. Longacre. He survives with a daughter, Patricia Lavery of LaPorte; a son, John H. of Elkhart; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was a member of the church.
