Wilson Polk Jones was one of six children born to Nelson Duzan Jones (1849-1935) and Lillious Charlotte Stillwell (1868-1929). His siblings were:
Mollie Leona Jones born in 1890, died in 1986
Maud Rosanna (Mary) Jones born in 1892, died in 1976
Clifford Dee Jones born in 1894, died in 1987
Isaac Oren Jones born in 1903, died in 1990
Elaine Jones born in 1905, died in 1916

Wilson served as a PVT in the U. S. Army during WWI.

Wilson grew up farming with his father. When Wilson registered for the draft in 1917 in Douglas County he indicated that he was helping support his father and mother on their farm near Glide, Oregon. In 1920 when Wilson was 21 the family owned their own farm in Stillwater, Lewis County, Washington. In 1930 he was farming with his family in Civil Bend, Douglas County, Oregon. His mother died in 1929 and his father died in 1935. By 1940 Wilson was married, living in Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon, with his wife Frances and step-daugher Maxine and no longer farming. When he registered for the draft again in 1942 he was living in Lookingglass, Oregon. There's no information available on that document to indicate his marital status. He died in 1987 at the age of 91. His last place of residence was Marion County, Oregon.
