When Mary Ann Cox, the daughter of George William Cox (1823-1892) and Lucy Fox (1823-1884) , was 24 years old, she married Edgar Clarke in Burton Overy, Leicestershire, England. Together they had four children: Herbert (1874-1929); Lucy Mary (1875-1876); Gertrude (1877-1971); and George William (1879-1942). She married James Robertson (1827-1909) in Logan, Utah October 21, 1885. Together they had a son, Arthur Wells Robertson (1886-1966).

When Mary Ann was 81 years, 3 months, and 17 days old, she completed her earthly journey on July 21, 1930 in Salt Lake City at 148 North 6 West. Funeral services for Mrs. Clark was held at the Larkin chapel at 12 noon Friday, July 25, 1930. Bishop Joseph Lake officiated. The body was viewed from 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment in the Spanish Fork cemetery, under the direction of Larkin Undertaking Co. according to the Salt Lake Telegram, a newspaper published in Salt Lake City, Utah on Wednesday, July 23, 1930, page 13.
