Some time ago, Mr. Andrews was afflicted with a cancerous growth, but he had this removed. Saturday erysipelas had covered Mr. Andrews entire face and he was delirious. Mr. Andrews was 56 years of age and one of the best known residents of East Haven, having lived in the town the greater part of his lifetime. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity. At one time Mr. Andrews was a practicing lawyer in East Haven (cir.1890),but of late had kept a general store in which the Post office was located. The deceased was married twice. His first wife died about 20 years ago. Paul, the only child by the first wife, aged 18, resides in New York; the present postmistress, two sons and a daughter survive him.
