Raymond Bernard Lang, 93, Victoria, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at the Lyons Good Samaritan Center, Lyons.
He was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Victoria to Bernard and Catherine (Dreiling) Lang.
He married Annette Karlin Oct. 14, 1940, in Catherine.
He spent his lifetime in Victoria. He was a farmer and owned the Gambles Hardware Store, Victoria, then was sales manager for the Oklahoma Tire and Supply store, Hays. He was a salesman for the National Motor Club until he retired in 1977. He was member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and church choir and the Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth degree assembly, all of Victoria. He moved to the Noble Place in Lyons in 2004.
Survivors include his wife, Lyons; a son, Raymond W. Lang and wife, Laura, Lyons; a daughter, Wanda Brungardt and husband, Don, Russell; two brothers, Tony Lang and wife, Eleanor, Lenora, and Joe Lang, Victoria; a sister, Theresa Dreiling and husband, W. Pat, Victoria; seven grandchildren, Lana Lang, Olathe, Chet Lang, McPherson, Jodi Woydziak, Emporia, Sara Wohletz, Little River, Toni Lang, Hays, Lisa McLaren, Rio Rancho, N.M., and Chris Brungardt, Russell; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan Lang, Kaden Woydziak, Kyla and Tyla Lang and Kristen McLaren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry Lang and Ben Lang, and three sisters, Germaine Gerstner, Mary Giebler and Katy Dealy.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. today, a vigil service is at 7 p.m. today and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, all at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. The Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree will stand honor guard from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the mortuary. Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today and 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, all at the mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the church or Masses.
