I was very young when my Great Uncle Dencil died. Mom said he was always trying to get me to makeup with him. She has audio tapes of him singing. He must have been a cutup cause he was always saying something funny.
He came from a musical family, some played guitars & all loved to sing. My Grandmother Margaret (who became like a mother to the younger siblings after their mother died in childbirth) loved to sing & play the piano. Uncle Bricle played guitar, sang & was also a preacher up til he died. Jimmy played guitar & I'm sure he could sing but I don't think I ever heard him, he was quiet. Lloyd also played guitar and sing. He had two more sister Alma & Violet.
Yes, Dencil was blessed with a wonderful family, now all of them are reunited in Heaven as they are all gone now. We will never forget you. May you rest in peace.
