Mrs. Eleanor Christine Brock Howell, age 88, of Vernon, FL, passed away Aug 2, 2012 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL. She was born May 19, 1924 in Vernon, FL to the late Harry J. Brock and Mary Vivian Miller Brock.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank McDade and Mitchell Brown Howell; 2 daughters, Janis June Arrant and an infant daughter; 1 grandson, Jerry Frank McDade; 1 daughter-in-law, Peggy McDade; and 3 brothers, Joseph Edward Brock, Doyle Evelyn Brock and Harry Julian Brock.
Mrs. Howell is survived by her 4 children, Mary Neta Lee and husband Charles, Jerry "Red" McDade, Judy Christine Hall and husband, John, and Randy Mitchell Howell and wife, Belinda, all of Vernon, FL; 1 sister, Nella Vivian Miller and husband, James William of Vernon, FL; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 pm Sat, Aug 4, 2012, at Ebenezer Church with Revs. Randy Howell and Leon Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Vernon, Washington, FL with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, FL directing. Family received friends one hour prior to service at Ebenezer Church.
