The Harrington Post of American Legion, received a marble marker from the War Dept to be placed at the grave of Floyd K. Hinshaw, who was killed in France on Oct 8, 1918.

The body of Mr. Hinshaw was returned here after the war. The stone was shipped from the east by army transport through the Panama Canal to San Francisco and from there by rail. Mr. Hinshaw was a brother of Mrs. Moss E. Warwick.—(Citizen-12 April 1940)
