Ms. Ziehr was a longtime manager for Illinois Bell, retiring after many years of service. She was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Ashkum Township, the daughter of Carrie Ziehr. She belonged to the Bell retirees association, Pioneers. She was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ashkum and the Altar Guild. She also taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed animals and solving puzzles, doing word search, playing cards, and listening to the radio, especially the Chicago Cubs. Over the years she had been a caregiver to many family and friends.
She is survived by cousins, Dorothy M. Keever, of Monticello, Ind., Lloyd Ziehr, of Paxton, and Gearldean Peters, of Ashkum.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
