From the family Bible: Abram Houghtaling, son of Ransom Houghtaling of Oneonta, fell from a wagon at Edwardville, Iowa, one day last week and broke his neck. He was alone at the time of the accident, but it is thought that the wagon, running into a hole, lurched suddenly forward and threw him out. He was an exemplary young man, given to no vices, and his death will be deeply deplored. The body was brought to Oneonta Tuesday and, after funeral services in the Presbyterian church, was interred at Riverside.

There were two obituaries written about Abram's death. pasted from two separate newspapers in the Family Bible. One, above, said he died in Edwardville, Iowa. The other said that his body was sent home to NY from Illinois. There is no Edwardville, Iowa. There IS an Edwardsville, Illinois.
