Alfred H. Boedecker, 95, of Sheboygan Falls, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Pine Haven Christian Home.

Alfred was born June 11, 1917 in the Town of Herman to Henry and Delia (Reinking) Boedecker.

He served his country in the U.S. Army.

Alfred was previously married to Arnice Hathort in 1940. On December 6, 1958 Alfred Boedecker and Shirley Harvey were united in marriage at Sheboygan Ebenezer United Church of Christ. She preceded him in death on August 14, 2012.

He was employed at Kohler in the cast iron division for 42 years until his retirement in 1981. Alfred then continued his employment at Marcus Hotels in the maintenance department for over 20 years. While at the Budget Hotel he was voted people pleaser of the year in 1988 for the whole Marcus Corporation.

Alfred was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club and was a member of Barbershop Chorus and Quartet in Sheboygan and Plymouth for 46 years. His quartet was known as the Singing Grandpas.

Alfred was an avid Green Bay Packer and Nascar fan. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He was a faithful member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, where he was involved in the choir and men's chorus.

Alfred is survived by his son, Richard (Kathleen) Boedecker of Howards Grove and daughter, Marietta (Paul) Klauck of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Christine (Randy) Langer of Oak Creek, Cari (Kevin) Gmach and Ryan (Fallon) Boedecker, both of Sheboygan; two step-grandchildren, Chad (Christine) Flipse of Sheboygan and Brad (special friend, Lindsey) Flipse of San Diego; six great-grandchildren, Raven, Marranda, and Justin Gmach, Ava Boedecker, and Nicholas and Holly Langer of Oak Creek; three step-great-grandchildren, Jada, Jessie, and Michael Ramos of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Francis Harvey of Sheboygan; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Shirley, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin (Irene) Boedecker and Frederick (Sally) Boedecker; two brothers-in-law, Burton and Trumann Harvey.

Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park
