Jack Minden Knight, age 99, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at St. Dominic's Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Jack was born October 28, 1913 in Minden, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Joe Berry Knight and Mattie Bardmass Knight.

A veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Campaign and he was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired after working more than 40 years with Texaco where he worked as a laboratory technician. He loved bowling and was an active senior league bowler in Port Arthur, TX. He attended the Port Neches United Methodist Church.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mattie Knight; sisters, Ida Mae Dennis, Peggy Joyce Hart and brothers, JB Knight, Winford Knight, Regan Knight and Lois Knight.

Mr. Knight is survived by his wife, Maurine Hines Knight and Mrs. Knight's daughter Patricia Poole and husband Bill Williams.

Interment: Greenlawn Memorial Park.
