Funeral services for Charles Wilburn, 20, near Latham were held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at White Oak Church with Reverend Chris Vanmeter officiating and burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. The deceased died at 9 a.m. Monday in Mercy Hospital Portsmouth, from second-degree burns received in a gasoline explosion on Sunday September 13th. He suffered burns on the back, chest, arms and right leg when gasoline he was pouring from a can into a carburetor of his car exploded.
