Marvon Duane Holdaway, 64, of Pleasant Grove passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 1997.
He born April 4, 1933 in Salt Lake City to Hugh VonLoy and Margaret Yocom Holdaway. He married Colleen Randall of Pleasant Grove. She passed away December 6, 1970. He later married Alice Palmer February 17, 1973 in, Reno, Nevada.
He was an accomplished welder and retired from Geneva Steel after 35 years of service. He was a skilled metal art craftsman and traveled to various fairs and arts festival to display his work. He was a member of the LDS church. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.
He is survived by his wife Alice of Pleasant Grove, five sons and two. daughters: Marvon (Ilene) Holdaway, Duane Holdaway, Craig (Mary Jo) Nielsen, Stephen (Jackie) Holdaway, Randy (Julie) Holdaway, Janet (Paul) Anderson, Brenda Wiseman, 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Additional survivors include his mother Margaret Holdaway of Orem; three brothers and one sister: Maureen Brown, Robert Holdaway, Donald Holdaway, and Dennis Holdaway.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 6, in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
