Leslie Solomon Ogden was born in Ontario, Canada. He immigrated with his parents to the US as a child, and settled in the Minneapolis area, where he studied law and eventually became an attorney. Here in Minneapolis he met his first wife, Laura Dean, and they married circa 1894. Together they had a daughter, Ethel, before Laura's untimely death in 1895. In 1896 Leslie married Abbie Jane Lafluer in St Croix, Wisconsin. They appear to have separated/divorced around 1910, and both remarried in 1911.
In 1911 Leslie married Estelle "Stella" Williams Ostby, whose own marriage had dissolved not long before, and they raised her daughter Lucille and their own son Leslie Jr, born in 1913, in Minneapolis. In 1919, Leslie died, and in 1921, so did Stella. Lucille married and died at the age of 18. It is unknown what became of Leslie Jr.
