DEATH OF DAISY SHAW MACKEY
Word was received here last Thursday by Mrs F B REED and Mrs A B WEAVER that their sister, Mrs D E MACKEY, had died. Mrs MACKEY was well known here. She was DAISY SHAW, the youngest daughter of A H and MARY E SHAW. She was born March 16, 1871, in Clearfield, in her beautiful old home down by the river. She was educated in Clearfield schools and Wilson College. In 1893, she was married to DAVID LITTLE of Pittsburgh.
They had 2 sons, DOUGLASS and JAMES, both of whom are living. Mr LITTLE died in 1903, and in 1907, Mrs. LITTLE married D E MACKEY.

They lived in St Louis before the war, when Dr MACKEY was sent to France, and DOUGLASS LITTLE also went. After their return, Dr MACKEY opened an office in Patton. They lived there and it was there Mrs MACKEY last January took spinal meningitis (after walking thru a plate-glass window at a Philadelphia department store). She was taken to the best hospital and everything possible was done, and she rallied after months of terrible suffering, and as she needed a change, was taken to the home of her son, JAMES LITTLE, who is married and lives in Detroit, Mich. She seemed alright for a week but suddenly took a turn for the worst and died instantly. She leaves behind her to mourn their loss her husband, 2 sons, and 5 sisters. She was buried at the home of her son in Detroit, in Grand Lawn Cemetery, May 22, 1920.
