Born in South Carolina to William D. and Frances Iola Witt. Auline married Charles Vernon Albea, and their children included: Tootsie, Roy, Ray, Marie, and Pansy. Auline and Vernon divorced and she moved to Atlanta, where she married James L. Wilson. Together they managed the Frederick Hotel on Whitehall St. in Atlanta. James changed Auline's name to Arlene, which is the name on her grave. Auline's children, however, still refer to her by her birth name.
