Born Oct. 19, 1932, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Scott and Eula (Gordon) Neady. He lived his early life in Waynesboro.
Mr. Neady was valedictorian of the Waynesboro High School Class of 1950. He studied at Penn State University for two years and then received a degree in economics from Gettysburg College.
During the Korean War, Mr. Neady served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
He and his wife, Nina E. (Yerkie) Neady, were married July 7, 1956, in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Neady died Nov 21, 1998.
Mr. Neady was a self-employed real estate broker for more than 30 years in the Hyattsville, Md., area.
He was a 32nd degree mason.
He is survived by four sons, Jeffrey L. Neady and Michael K. Neady II, both of Shady Side, Martin L. Neady of Washington, D. C., and Matthew "Jon" Neady of Beltsville, Md.; and one brother, John G. Neady of Oakhurst, N.J.
