June 10, 2005:

Shawnee resident Rheann Rogers, 63, passed away Tuesday, June 7, at her home. She was born May 20, 1942 in San Diego, Calif., to Rhudell and Kathleen Akin. She graduated from Escondido High School. On Feb. 23, 1962 she married Graden Edward Rogers. She worked as a graphic artist.
Her parents and her husband preceded her in death. Rheann is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Lindsey and her husband Scott of Prague, Michelle Olenick and her husband Billy of Shawnee, and Tracy Farrill and her husband Steve of Tecumseh; six grandchildren Clint Lindsey, Chris Lindsey, Todd Jackson, Michael Rogers, Heather Farrill and Michael Farrill; two brothers Rudy Akin and his wife Julie, Bill Akin and his wife Shirlee; one sister Carole Paxton and her husband Richard and, life long friends Shirley Johnson and Sonny Carson.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service with the Rev. J. Clifton Briscoe officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.
