Elizabeth Betsy N Graves Steele born ca 1804 to David and Nancy Hunt Graves and made widow of Col. Nathaniel Steel after the Guntersville Shootout of 1838. There is no marker or record of burial.

Husband Col Nathaniel Steele, his brother Graves Steele, her daughter Mary Steele Scott and her husband John M Scott (who was appointed guardian of Elizebeth's children on her death) graves were interred at this location and then were relocated in May 1938 by the TVA Dam project from Russell to Guntersville City Cemetery.
