Mrs. Barney Trouth, who has been sick all winter passed away Saturday, March 5th. Mrs. Survilla Phillips was married to Mr. Barney Trouth May 22, 1889 at Whitner, Madison county, Arkansas. Some four years ago they came to Norton where they have since resided. Mrs Trouth has been an invalid for some time but in the past few weeks has grown rapidly worse until last Saturday when the death angel came and thus ended her sufferings. Beside the grief stricken husband she leaves seven children to mourn their loss, all at home except one married daughter in Oklahoma. The funeral service was held at the Norton Cemetery, Mr. Norton reading the impressive Episcopal burial service. The choir rendered selections. There was a large attendance. The bereaved family had the sympathy of the entire community.
