Visitation will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Rev. Alan Werth officiating, at the Vertin-Munson-Wahpeton Funeral Home. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church Wednesday. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, N.D.
Marian June Mohs was born June 1, 1930, at Rothsay, Minn., to Rolland and Agnes (Crider) Bechtell. She was baptized and confirmed on June 20, 1948, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Barnesville, Minn., by Rev. H.R. Romness. She attended rural school District No. 33 near Rothsay, and the Breckenridge Public School system.
She married Cyril E. Hudson on Sept. 6, 1948. They resided in Wahpeton and had nine children.
She married Vernon A. Mohs on May 15, 1974. Following their marriage, they lived in Fairmount, rural Great Bend, and currently at 208 First St. N., Fairmount.
Marian was a member of First English Lutheran Church. As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and family gatherings. Her hobbies included crafts, artistic painting, fishing, hunting and tending their lake home near Otter Tail Lake.
Marian is survived by her husband, Vernon Mohs, Fairmount; three sons, and five daughters, Donald Hudson, Wahpeton; Jenni (Steve) Bewiey, Denver, Colo.; James Hudson, Wichita, Kans.; Cyrill (Kristi) Hudson, Davenport,
Fla.; Debbie (John) Milligan, Webster, Fla.; Ramona (Mike) McKibben, Breckenridge, Minn.; Sheila (Jeff) Jeske, Battle Lake, Minn.; Jacqueline (Mike) Munter, Wahpeton; four step-daughters, Roselyn (Jeffery) Schwartz, Wahpeton; Roberta Maurer, rural Wahpeton; Rita Ard, Highmore, Mont.; Robin (Michael) Wright, Forest Grove, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Roland Bechtell, Battle Lake, Minn.; two sisters, Dorothy (Walter) Davis, St. Francis, Minn.; and Violet (Herman) Gilgenbach, St. Paul, Minn.; her step-mother, Ruth Gordhammer, Rothsay; and her mother-in-law, Meta Mohs, Wahpeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Hudson; one step-son, Jody Mohs; one step-grandson, Timothy Ard; and three sisters, Francis Loff, Joyce Ince and Bess Baumer; and her brother, Jack Bechtell.
