John J. Stubber Jr., 56, of Hopewell Township, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in his Aliquippa home. He was born and raised in St. Mary's, Pa., son of the late John and Mary Stubber. John retired from the Air Force where he served for six years in active duty and 20 years with the reserves. He was currently employed at the 911 Tactical Airlift Wing in Coraopolis, Pa.
He was an avid sports fan, and loved watching hockey, football and golf. John was a family man and enjoyed the love and companionship of his family, and his most special pet, his dog Chloe.
John is survived by his friend and spouse, Jill, and his loving son, Josh (Karissa Parsons). He also survived by two sisters, Victoria Whitmore of Carlisle, Pa., and Constance Senkowski of Orange Park, Fla.; also many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at the DARROCH MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, Pa. 15001, www.darrochfuneralhome.com. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Monaca, Pa. 15061.
