John J Abrahamson
88, 1302 Stark St., Wausau, passed away Monday, May 26, 2003 at Pine Manor Health Care Center, Clintonville.
He was born March 24, 1915 in Chicago, son of the late John and Stasie (Mollech) Abrahamson. In 1938, he married Geraldine Denson. She survives.
John graduated from Clintonville High School in 1935 and attended the Ripon College. He was employed by Four Wheel Drive Corperation, Clintonville until 1947. John was operational manager at Wausau Insurance Company until his retirement in 1978.
Survivors besides his wife, Geraldine Abrahamson, Wausau includes twin daughters, Sylvia Ackerman, Wausau and Sue (Michael) Linder, Schofield; one grandson, Dr. Carl (Melinda) Williams, Madison; two sisters, Doris Abrahamson, Clintonville and June (Ben) Brewer-Toshalis, Grandville, Mich. and Fla; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death two brothers, Raymond and Rev. Alfred Abrahamson.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2003 at Wausau Community Chapel. Rev. Lou Rosetti will officiate. The family will greet friends following the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Marshfield Clinic Oncology Research Department.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Jeffrey Oswald and Dr. John Webb for their many years of special care of John.
