DEATH OF MISS HERRICK - Of Pneumonia After Illness, Funeral Tomorrow Afternoon
The death of Miss Hannah J. Herrick yesterday afternoon ended an illness with pneumonia of but a few days duration. Miss Herrick was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah L. Herrick and was born in Andover, Mass., May 21, 1825. The Herrick family came to Rockford in 1839. In her younger days the deceased was a teacher in the district school. The Herrick home was on the Herrick farm near the city but for the past twenty years or more the deceased made her home with her brother, Samuel Herrick, on Second Avenue. Miss Herrick was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, joining it in 1875. She is survived by three brothers, Elijah L., Samuel Herrick, and George Herrick.
The funeral will be held from the house tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, Dr. Frederick H. Bodman and Rev. John Henry Boose officiating.
