Abelicio M. Baca, age 91, a resident of Bosque, NM, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013.
Abelicio was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Abelicio proudly served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and was a retired civil service employee. Abelicio was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dulcinea "Candy" Harris Baca, his parents, Rafael David and Remelia Peña Baca, brothers, Ruben Baca and Vidal Baca, sisters, Nila Chávez and Emilia Gabaldón and granddaughter, Tiffany Candace Spillers.
Abelicio is survived by his son, Leroy Baca of Bosque, daughters, Carlyne McKinley and her husband, Kevin of Chico, TX, Louise Spillers and her husband, Randy of Virginia Beach, VA and Lillian Smith and her husband, Marde of San Diego, CA, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brothers, Herman Baca and his wife, Mary and Isaias Baca and his wife, Patricia, sisters, Lucy Metzner, Gertrude Sisneros, Celine Baca, Eloria Rhoades and her husband, Dusty and Mary Tearnan and her husband, Robert. Abelicio is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Bosque on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Scott McKee presiding. Interment will follow at Cristo Rey Catholic Cemetery.
