After graduating from Harrisburg High School, he volunteered and served in the United States Navy almost four years and left as Pharmacist Mate 1st Class. He went on to graduate from the University of Houston, earning his degree in Pharmacy.
He served on the Chamber of Commerce, was an active member of his church and worked in M.D.
Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston and the John Sealy Hospital in Galveston before his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Eva Jo Johnson Renshaw of the home, two daughters, Karen Jo Hearring and Macholie Jones McDonald; a son, Thomas E. Renshaw, and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John C. Renshaw of West Helena.
A memorial service was held at
Forest Park Family Chapel at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28th, at Forest Park Funeral Home in Houston. Interment was in the Houston National Cemetery with a 21-gun salute by his WW II survivors and presentation of the American flag, officiating pastor, Rev. Robert Hughes, First Baptist Church of South Houston.
