Carl W. Cowan, 58, assistant secretary of the Murray Company and formerly a resident of Dallas for many years, died Friday in Boston, Mass., according to word received Sunday in Dallas.
A native of Denton, Mr. Cowan was the son of A. S. Cowan, an attorney there. He had made his home in Dallas for thirty-eight years. He went to Massachuseetts about a year ago to devote his time to plants of the Murray company there and prior to that time had been making Memphis, Tenn., his headquarters. He was a member of the Highland Park Methodist Church here. He also was a member of Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. L. E. Crain, St. Louis, Mo., and a sister, Miss Margie Cowan, Denton.
Funeral services will be held in Dallas later this week.
