The son of Thomas Frederick Pickering and Margaret "Maggie" Clouden. He married Caroline Geissel Jun 24, 1894 in Philadelphia. Father of 6 children, Thomas 1895-1896, Ida May 1896-, Leonard Dewey 1898-1981, Albert Francis 1899-1899, Herbert 1899-1899, Edward Harry 1901-1974 (my grandfather). He was a Philadelphia Police Officer from 1910 to 1930.
