Norman was the 5th child born to Lloyd and Ella (House) Amore. He married Iva Mae Miller on January 14, 1944 in the Grace Methodist Church in Coshocton, Ohio. He served with the 1st Army Anti-Aircraft Unit in the European theater during WWII, receiving a Bronze Star for heroic action performed in Germany on December 1, 1944. He was survived by his wife, one step-son, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and a step-son.
