Ervin Eoff, 82, of Lamesa passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Temple, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Gerald Parsons officiating. A private burial will take place in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held in the church parlor immediately following the service. Ervin was born on July 29, 1930 in Stamford, Texas to Elmo and Lela Eoff. He married Genevieve O'Neal on Nov. 5, 1950 at the Klondike Baptist Church. They were married for 63 years. Ervin served in the United States Army as a Private First Class from 1950 until 1952. He farmed in the Klondike community for many years. Ervin is survived by his wife, Genevieve of Lamesa, Texas; sons, Mike Eoff of Cloudcroft, N.M., Greg Eoff and wife Judy of Virginia, and David Eoff and wife Tammy of Lamesa, Texas; daughter, Julie Uptain and husband David of Lubbock; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Lela; two sons, Chris Eoff and Stephen Eoff; and a sister, Linda Eoff. The family suggests memorials be made to the Buckner's Children's Home, 129 Bentwood Ave., Lubbock, TX, 79416 or to a charity of one's choice .
