Margaret Ann Hollenback, 83, passed away at 1:47 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2013
at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She was born the daughter of Russel
V. and Charlotte Mae (Dielman) Mathias in Miami County on October 25, 1929. On May
20, 1956 she married Glenn Hollenback at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in
Macy, and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1993.

Margaret was a 1947 graduate of Gilead High School; she had worked on the family
farm, and even helped bale hay. She spent her career as a nurse's aide at Tipton
Hospital where she enjoyed helping those who were ill. She liked her garden,
flowers, baking, watching IU and Pacer basketball, and her little dog, Tiny. She
also was always there to help a friend or neighbor and lived to serve God. Margaret
was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Kokomo.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She
was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, and son Ronald Dean "Ron" Hollenback.

Funeral services will be held to celebrate Margaret's life at Shirley & Stout
Funeral Home & Crematory Lincoln Road Chapel, Kokomo, IN on Saturday, September 14,
2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron DeGraaff officiating. Friends may visit with the
family from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Akron Cemetery
in Akron, IN. Memorials may be made to the Kokomo Rescue Mission.
