Died, at his home in Liberty township, Thursday, Dec. 21, of cancer of the liver, Carl Warnhoff, aged 66 years.

The funeral services were held at St. John's church, Chesterton, Sunday, at 2 o'clock, Rev. Kayser officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the Chesterton cemetery. Deceased leaves a widow, two sons and three daughters to mourn his loss. He was born in Mecklenberg, Schwerein, Germany, in 1839, and came to this country in 1866. He has been a prominent Porter county farmer, and one of our pioneers. His life has always been a clean and upright one, and he enjoyed the friendship and respect of all who knew him. In his death his family sustains an irreparable loss, and the community loses one of its best citizens. The Tribune extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives in this their hour of sorrow.
