Mrs. Julia (Juliette) Eva Kerr Miller, 72, widow of John Henry Miller, died suddenly at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday evening after a stroke of apoplexy while visiting at the home of her son, Frank Miller, 356 S. Hazelwood Ave. She had been in her usual good health up until a few minutes before she was stricken. She had resided in Youngstown for more than 50 years, and was well known and greatly admired and revered. Six children survive.
Mrs. Miller was born at Mercer, Pa. on March 23, 1850, a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth White Kerr. She obtained her early education in the Mercer schools and lived at home until she came to this city when about 22 years old. Her husband preceded her in death nine years ago. She was a devoted member of the Central Christian Church, active in church work and demanded the high respect and regard of all through her excellent Christian traits of kindsness and devotion. The following children survive: Mrs. Frank (Doll) van Wye, Mrs. R.W. (Maud) Smith, Mrs. George (Laura) Lehner, Frank and Edward Miller of this city and Charles K. Miller of Cleveland; also 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
