Last Thursday night Lewis Carter passed away at his home in Benjamin. He had been seriously ill from heart trouble for about a month but had been troubled occasionally from that source from upward of ten years. The funeral services were held at the Benjamin meeting house Sunday and the remains brought to the Spanish Fork Cemetery for interment.

Mr. Carter was 39 years of age and leaves a wife and little daughter to mourn his untimely demise. He was one of those men who are ever ready to stand for what they believe to be right; one whose death leaves a blank which cannot easily be filled.
