Carol Ann Ackron passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at University Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born June 30, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a daughter of Arthur George and Ann Freda(Journey) Schauer. On June 11, 1977 she was married to James M. Ackron in Dearborn, Michigan, moving to Belleville from Dearborn in 1977. Mrs. Ackron attended St. Anthony Catholic Church. She loved gardening, sewing, and puzzles. Mrs. Ackron also enjoyed spending time in the out of doors and campfires. She enjoyed trunk shopping with her sister-in-law. Mrs. Ackron had a passion for decorating for the holidays. She will be greatly missed by her dog Vinni. Mrs. Ackron worked with her husband Jim at their business, Belleville Greenhouse for many years. Mrs. Ackron is survived by her loving husband of nearly 36 years, James M. Ackron. Dear mother of Dawn (Daniel) Hunter, James (Crystal) Ackron, Traci Ackron and Michelle Ackron. Fond grandmother of Jimmy and Maddie Ackron. Cherished daughter of Arthur and Ann Schauer. Sister of Nancy (Tom Williams) Schauer, Gary (Janet) Schauer, George (Denise) Schauer and Douglas (Trisha) Schauer. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial celebration was held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the V.F.W. Post 4434, 44170 Bemis Rd., Belleville, MI. The family has requested memorial contributions to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society of Michigan 1471 E. 12 Mile Rd., Madison Heights, MI 48071 in lieu of flowers.
