Charles K. ALLENDER, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Per his request, no service is planned, and his body has been cremated.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics ICU Unit in Iowa City. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1204 S. Seventh St., Fairfield 52556.
Mr. ALLENDER was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Rushville, Ill., the son of Raymond and Opal WILSON ALLENDER. He married Georgette TOISON.
Mr. ALLENDER was self-employed as a barber on Church Street in Ottumwa.
Survivors include his wife of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
