Cort Conard, Brother of Bert, Dies Sunday

Cort C. Conard, 63, Richmond, died Sunday at 12:30 a.m. at the home of his brother, Charles Conard in Richmond. He is a brother of Bert Conard of Elwood. Mr. Conard was struck by an automobile in Richmond on September 16 and never fully recovered. His death was attributed to complications.

Mr. Conard was born in Rush county, Indiana, on March 23, 1877. He was a son of John and Effie Conard. He was not married.

Survivors are four brothers and two sisters. Charles Conard of Richmond, Bert Conard of Elwood, Amos (Doc) Conard of Tulsa, Okla., Jesse Conard of Detroit, Mich., Miss Myrtle Conard of Richmond and Miss Eunice Conard, also of Detroit.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the East Main Street Christian Church. The Rev. D. D. McColl will officiate and will be assisted by the Rev. Clifford Conard of Summitville. The body lies in state at the Copher and Fesler funeral home in Elwood, and friends may call. Burial will be in the City cemetery.
