K.S. Head Jr., age 91, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Temple, Texas. K.S. served in the Army and lived all over Texas due to his work in road construction. He was a member of the Lions club, American Legion, VFW, NRA, American Quarter Horse Association, Texas Early Day Tractor and Engine Association; he was a Certified Layman Leader and pastored for a few years at the United Methodist Church in Milano, and he was a member of Granger 1st United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathaleen Folk. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Head; his brother, Bill Head; his children, Dennis Head, Clovis Head, Ann Flores, Lynn Marshall, and Faye Wylie; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Goodnight Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Gotcher Officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Snyder Cemetery in Snyder, Texas.
