Born to Jacob Baker and Hannah Elmira (Pelt) Baker in TN. Lived most of his life in Miss. County, MO, according to US Census Reports 1860-1910.
Married Louisa Jane Laird on 4 April 1873 in Miss. County, MO. (Marriage license spelling seems to show "Laura Lard"... sl. spelling err.)
He and Louisa "Lou" had ten children, 6 living at time of 1900 Census.
He was a farmer.
Mo. Death Cert #2525 lists his cause of death as chronic myocarditis, with pneumonia as contributory.
