Edgar Altus Barnbrook Dies in Cairo Hospital

CHARLESTON - Edgar Altus Barnbrook, a farmer of Charleston Route 3, died on his birthday Wednesday in the St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo at the age of 66. He was born Dec. 3, 1892 at Robinson, Ill., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Barnbrook.
The veteran of World War I and a member of the Wyatt Methodist Church is survived by one son, Altus Barnbrook of Wyatt; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Vowels of Route 3, Charleston and Mrs. Harry Richardson of St. Louis; one brother, Fred Barnbrook of Oregon City, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. M.M. Ault of Charleston, and Mrs. Mary Speckle and Mrs. Charlotte Smith of Illinois; five half-sisters, Mrs. John Davis of South Carolina, Miss Nattie Barnbrook and Mrs. Joe Nichols and Mrs. James Strong of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. James Greer of Flint, Mich., and eight grandchildren.
