Bessie Mae McKinney was born to Frank and Mattie Victoria McKinney in 1930. At a young age she accepted Christ in Navasota, TX. She attended school in the Navasota school district. She later moved to Houston, TX, there she met and married Oscar Brown on August 19, 1945 to this marriage they had a daughter. Bessie attended Kashmere Baptist Church in the 60s. Her husband departed from labor on June 9, 2000. She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, four grandchildren, two sisters Frankie Chandler and Jimmie Crownover. She will be missed by all.
