She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on July 7, 1927, to John Garrett & Vivian Parker Mouser.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Walter Edwin Ellis; her brothers, John Garrett Mouser Jr., William Austin Mouser, David Mouser, Lester Mouser; and a sister Lucille Hinton.
She is survived by her children Gregory Garrett Ellis & Cherrye Hammans Ellis (spouse), Vivian Jane Ellis Williams & Gary Lynn Williams (spouse), Mark Sidney Ellis & Rhonda Ellis (spouse) and grandchildren Lauren Ellis Fulmer, Garrett Ellis, Molly Williams and Emily Williams, Ryan Ellis and Morgan Ellis. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Etoyle Kirby Mouser of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Alice Mouser of Westminster, California and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy graduated from Arkansas Teachers College and taught elementary school for 35 years in Humphrey, Pine Bluff, and Sheridan Arkansas.
At the time of her death she was a member of Searcy First United Methodist Church. Her faith was strong and steadfast. As a life-long Methodist she served as a Sunday school teacher and was active in the United Methodist Women organization.
Services were held at the First Methodist Church, Searcy, AR. Arrangements ere by Powell Funeral home.
