Reba Kathleen Wallace McClure, age 91, of Central Heights, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2007, from 10-11 a.m., at Greenview Funeral Home, with a chapel service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church cemetery, with Joel Caudle officiating.
Reba was born March 2, 1916, in the Central Heights community of West Lauderdale County. She was the fourth and last surviving child of 11 children born to Edward Ivory and Willie Wesson Wallace.
Reba was a member of the Church of Christ. She had many talents: seamstress, artist, gardener, wonderful cook and house keeper.
Reba was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Bertha Fowler, Edward Wallace, Aubrey Wallace, Ruth Wallace, Arlon Wallace, James Wallace, Lelon Wallace, Glen Wallace, Donald Wallace and Harry "H.B." Wallace.
Reba leaves a host of nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Wallace, Colleen Wallace and Ila Jean Wallace.
Reba lived an exceptional life in Florence, Alabama, Arkansas and Illinois.
Active pallbearers will be Howard Craig, Paul Harbin, Jimmy McAdams, Jimmy Wallace, Paul Wallace and Gary Wesson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lyman Mitchell and Pam Hill.Many thanks to Mitchell-Hollingsworth station six for
their wonderful care, Carolyn Wallace for her assistance in the long-term care of Reba in her final years.
