Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, Stanfield, NC, with Dr. Doyle Holder officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland.
A native of Mecklenburg County, NC, Mr. McCall was a US Army veteran of WWII, member of Bethel Baptist Church and a retired electrician from Read Electric, Charlotte.
Survivors include his wife, Christene Tucker McCall of the home; sons, Jack McCall Jr. of Oakboro, NC, Mickey McCall of Locust, NC, Doug McCall, Ronald McCall and Allen McCall, all of Oakboro, NC, and Tommy McCall of Enochville, NC; daughters, Mrs. Sandra Pethel of Concord, NC, and Mrs. Veronica Whitley of Oakboro, NC; brothers, James McCall and Boyce McCall of Charlotte; sister, Mrs. Gloria Mitchell of Ft. Mill, SC; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
