Medina Daily Journal, 2/17/1912:

Mrs. Jennie Handy Doland, wife of Frank Doland, of West avenue, died at the Medina Hospital this morning, aged 69 years. Mrs. Doland had been in poor health for some time but only acutely ill, of diabetes for a few days. She sank rapidly to her death in spite of all that medical skill and careful nursing could do.

Mrs. Doland was born in this country and had lived a large portion of her life in Medina. She was married in 1867 to Frank Doland who survives her. Other immediate relatives are her sister, Mrs. Emma Chittledon, of Ashwood, her brother, Perry Handy, of Albion, and one son, Fred Brown. Mrs. Doland was a woman warm hearted and kindly and greatly esteemed by all who knew her and will be especially missed in the neighborhood where she had lived for so long. She was an enthusiastic member of the Women's Relief Corp. of the G. A. R. and had always been active in its work and duties.

The funeral will take place from the house at one o’clock on Monday afternoon and the body will be taken to Lyndonville for burial.
