HOFFMAN - Virginia E., 72 Windber R.D. 2, died November 20, 1989 in North Olmsted, Ohio. Born Jan. 10, 1917, in Windber, daughter of Draper and Ida (Murphy/Baumgardner) Barefoot. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Roy A.; grandson, Kirk Allen Rice; daughter, Norma Lee Rice; brothers, Bernard, Clarence and Donald; and sisters, Ethel Biglen and Ruth Brallier. Survived by children, Carole, wife of Charles Fern, Fairview Park, Ohio and Roy "Butch," married to the former Janet Beaumont, South Fork, R.D.; also four grandchildren. Sister of Gladys Brennan, Salix; Irene Plummer, St. Michael; and Dean Barefoot, Sidman R.D. Member of St. Michael United Methodist Church; St. Michael Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; and Dames of Malta, South Fork.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Homer J. George Funeral Home, Salix. Services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, Salix, the Rev. Dr. Paul P. Morris and the Rev. Boyd Scott. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make donations to Windber Hospice.
