Carpendale, WV - Francis "Frank" Barry, 57, of Carpendale, WV passed away on May 18, 2013. Frank was born in Frostburg, MD on January 4, 1956, son of the late Charles and Mary Jane Barry.
Frank graduated from Beall High School and continued on to receive several degrees from Frostburg State University and Allegany College of Maryland. He worked as a respiratory therapist for Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV for 20 years. Frank enjoyed Music, bicycling, outdoor activities, and was a member through the years in local popular bands (Chinese Bandits, Solid Gold, and Split Image), having played the keyboard, saxophone, and vocals.
Frank is survived by his wife of 15 years, Noreen Barry, they married on February 21, 1998; his children: Tony and Angie, step-children, Brandy and Jennifer; his grandchildren: Austin, Jaime, Trevor, Alexis, and Hunter. His in-laws, Joy Rolfe, John Manos, Kurt Manos, and Kevin Manovich, a brother, Charles (Chuck) Barry and sisters, Mary Jane and Jenna, as well as other family and friends.
As per the family's wishes there will be no services, however, there will be a memorial get-together at Constitution Park (Pavilion 6) in Cumberland, on May 22, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. and is open to anyone wishing to pay their respects.
