He was self-employed for 35 years in building maintenance work. For 20 years he was a Pentecostal Evangelist affiliated with the Pentecostal Ministerial Association of America.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Crabtree and Mrs. Dorothea Smith, both of Hagerstown; one son, Rev. Vernie Barrow, Jr., Palmyra, Va.; one step-son, Raymond B. Ridenour, Hagerstown; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel; burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
