Robert Leo "Bob" Boy was born on Jan. 24, 1919 in Raymond, Kan. to Herman and Alice Boy. He entered into eternal rest on Sept. 27, 2004 at his home in Lake Isabella.
Bob was a truck driver for Asbury Transportation in Vernon, Calif. for 25 years. He and his wife of 57 years, Norma, came to Lake Isabella from southern California 15 years ago.
His special interests included fishing, gardening and ballroom dancing, and he belonged to the Lake Isabella Senior Dance Club.
Bob belonged to St. Jude Catholic Church in Wofford Heights.
He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army and was a member of VFW Post #7665 in Lake Isabella, where he served on the funeral detail. He was also a past member of the VFW of Riverside, Calif., where he served as Post Commander and Senior Vice President.
Bob is survived by his wife, Norma Boy, of Lake Isabella; daughter Sandy Alexanian of Huntington Beach, Calif.; brother Milton Boy of Cypress, Calif.; sister Delores Harris of Long Beach, Calif.; grandson Jonathan Alexanian and granddaughter Ashley Alexanian of Huntington Beach, Calif. and many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the country.
Funeral services will be held at Lake Isabella Valley Mortuary on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9-11 a.m. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress, Calif. on Friday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. with a visitation at 11 - 12:15 in the Forest Lawn Mortuary.
Services were entrusted to the care of Lake Isabella Valley Mortuary.
